Joined the Twitter hive mind

I'm on Twitter now. I don't claim to understand the hype, yet. It reminds me of a bit in Vernor Vinge's Marooned in Realtime, one of the novels to popularize the Singularity. One of the characters describes being totally cut off from society compared to the state of the art which was augmenting your brain to be able to "think" with several of your colleagues at once. We aren't quite there yet, but I think twitter is closer than IRC to being the hive mind.
